Summer Activities

The 5th Annual Drew Judycki Memorial Disc Golf will take place on September 24th and 25th 2016, the same weekend as the town of Red River's Aspencade Arts and Crafts Festival. Our 18 hole Mountain Top Disc Golf Course is nestled in an Apsen grove with beautiful panoramas of the surrounding Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Professional and Amateur Disc Golfers are welcome to sign up for online registration to participate in our Professional Disc Golf Association sanctioned two day tournament. Join the fun with a player's party and tournament raffle!

Hidden Treasure Aerial Park is open Saturdays only through September for you and your family to enjoy "an aerial high five experience". Our aerial park offers thrilling adventures for the whole family while promoting active and healthy lifestyles. We offer three levels. The First Level Course, the Second Level Course (More Difficult) and the Third Level Course (Most Difficult). There are two zip lines. The First Level zip line is available to all participants, while the Third Level zip line is available to participants weighing at least 50 lbs.

Introduced in the Spring of 2015, the Pioneer Flyer is a must for your itinerary. Starting at ground level, the two seater carrrier is pulled up backwards 750 feet over the Pioneer Corridor, with a brief pause for viewing and picture taking at the top of the tower. Then gravity takes over and you are released at approximately 35 miles per hour back down to the loading deck, soaring over the fishing pond from The Face.

Scenic Summer Chairlift Rides 

Reopens on September 24 & 25, 2016,  9 am - 5 pm Saturday & Sunday 



Reopening for weekends - May 28, 2016 - Daily operations begin - June 10, 2016.

The Tip Restaurant and Deck will reopen on Aspencade weekend for those riding the lift and the Drew Judycki Memorial Golf Tournament, September 24 & 25, 2016.

Located at the top of the mountain where the summer scenic chairlift rides unload. The Tip Restaurant and Deck has awesome views of the surrounding mountains and is available for winter lunch options. We offer our "Tip Top Burgers" on the deck, chicken sandwiches, the Linton Wrap and many other options. Relax by the wood burning stove inside on the cold days. Beer and Wine selections available.

Join us for a mountaintop hike lasting up to an hour and a half in length. National Forest Service Rangers and volunteers will point out the beauiful historic and geologic landmarks guests can see from the top of our mountain, 10,350 in elevation. Everyone is welcome! We will tailor the hike to the abilities and ages of the guest who wish to join us. All ages will enjoy learning will enjoy learning about the exciting history of the mountain and the communities that surround it.


Red River Ski & Summer Area is a "one of a kind" venue for everything from small intimate weddings to 250 person locations.  Ceremonies are held throughout the mountain with beautiful views of Gold Hill, Latir Wilderness, or Bobcast Pass.  You can be married in the aspens at Lauren's Deck or with the beautiful view on Cracker Jack Crest.
