Forget the beach, it's time to hit the slopes for Spring Break. Don't forget your beachwear for fun in the Sun and Snow!
Torn between two seasons? Ready for the sunshine but not ready to put your skis or snowboard away? Head up to Red River Ski Area for Beach Week! Tank tops and hula skirts are spotted frequently zipping down the slopes during this annual event. Grab your coconut oil and get ready for the snow!
- Brewery Showcase at the Lift House Bar and Grill Saturdays 1pm to 5pm- come to the Lift House to sample some of the finest beers in the region from visiting breweries.
- Spring Break Torchlight & Fireworks Parade Mar 14th- Seen from the deck of the Lift House Bar & Grill. Rail Jam and Parade Starts at 5:30pm. This is the biggest and best Torchlight of them all. Don't miss it!!
- Kid's Glow Stick Parade Mar 16th - 7pm-The kids version of the Torchlight Parade but safe for the younger ones! Instead of Torches, we use Glow Sticks and instead of the Face, we go down the "bump" Goldrush Hill. Hot Dogs for everyone and kids 12 and under can participate.
- Penguin Plunge March 17th - at the top of the Pot O Gold Terrain Park- Ever slide down the Pot O Gold terrain park on your belly in a trash bag? You should!! Come into Guest Services Office to register any time before the race and may the best leprechaun win - all ages, parent or guardian signatures necessary.

Just like our Saturday Torchlight Parades, only much BIGGER! It's a Spring Break Tradition, and because of Daylight Savings Time, we will start at 8:00pm for this one.
You can see the show from most places in town, but the hot spot is located at the bottom of "The Face" at the Lift House Bar & Grill. Get there early to make sure you get a good viewing spot!

This one's just like the Big Torchlight...only with glowsticks and kids!
It's located on "Gold Rush Hill", so bring the family to the Main Chalet and enjoy FREE hot dogs and the Kids glowstick show and fireworks. 7pm for Hot Dogs, 8pm for the parade. (Parents: please bring the young participants to the Main Chalet and Cafeteria by 7:30pm to sign up.)

Snowshoe through the Enchanted Forest by the glow of the moon and your headlamp to an old fashioned cookout, complete with s'mores! Guided tour, $25.00 per person, $5.00 snowshoe rentals. Reservations required.

See if you can make it across the pond at the bottom of "the Face". Anyone is invited to participate. Skimming starts at 2:00 pm. It's a ton of fun, and if you don't want to go for a dip, you can watch from the deck of the Lift House Bar & Grill.

Help us wrap up Spring Break and Beach Week with a spectacular display of courage. It's Red River Ski Area's newest tradition, the end of season Pond Skim! Participants ski or ride down a portion of "The Face" in a daring attempt to skim across a temporary pond at the base of the mountain. The fun is open to everyone, but if you're not gutsy enough to try it yourself you can join the crowd of spectators on the deck at the Lift House Bar & Grill.

We know, we know...there's still great snow up there! But, we have to "shut 'er down" at some point
If you have to miss us, we'll see you again for another wonderful season next year. Don't forget the Summer Chairlift Rides, Disc Golf, Tubing and all the Special Events in Red River, NM along with our beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. Thanks!
