What to Expect

Live your mountain life dream at Red River Ski & Summer Area, the Winter and Summer Playground of the Southwest! Red River offers a relaxed pace of life but an abundance of outdoor things to do such as winter sports, fishing, and hiking and numerous summer activities. Red River has been nominated as one of the "Best Places to Live" by National Geographic Adventure magazine. Main Street is just a mile long so you never have to start your car to get to shopping and great restaurants. Red River is a resort town and a wonderful place to call "home" because it has a true sense of community and neighborly spirit. Our year round population is roughly 477 and can grow up to thousands during our busy times such as ski season and the summer months. We are located in northern New Mexico's beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, close to many things, but far enough away from the chaos of a big city. The town offers high-speed internet and an expanding regional transit system. We are approximately 36 miles from Taos where the larger grocery stores and pharmacies are located and 106 miles to Santa Fe, New Mexico where the nearest airport is located.

J1 Student Visa Program

Each year we hire students through the J1 Student Visa Program, which enable people from around the world to experience living and working in another country.  We hire J1 Visa students through different agencies such as CHI, Interexchange and Greenheart. We attend job fairs in their home country, where they can meet our hiring manager and sometimes receive a job offer on the spot. Are you a student who has previously worked for us and wants to return for another season? Work with your previous manager to see how you can return!
