Opening Day 17/18 Ski Season

Red River, NM (November 22, 2017) - The ski season officially began with our first chair spinning on November 22nd at 9am under sunny skies with ample excitement from guests and staff alike. We’re kicking off the season skiing and riding on two trails and one park serviced by two lifts.
Red River Ski Area was one of the first New Mexico ski areas to open this year. Thanks to our powerful snowmaking system and hard working crew we haven’t missed an opening day in over 30 years! To honor all of our valued guests, we are offering special Thanksgiving rates from November 22nd-26th.
To keep you and your family fully entertained while you are here, we offer several activities for adults and kids alike! Some of our Thanksgiving festivities include a Downhill Turkey Race, our annual Thanksjibbing Rail Jam, and a Torchlight Parade.
