Ground Transportation

Ground transportation is available via the North Central Regional Transit District. The signature RTD Blue Buses provide riders with connections to New Mexico Rail Runner, Santa Fe Trails, New Mexico Park and Ride, Los Alamos Atomic City Transit, Taos Chile Line and Red River Miner’s Transit. All of its buses are ADA accessible and equipped with bicycle racks.

Red River Ski & Summer Area is centrally located between multiple airports in New Mexico and Colorado. For the closest options choose one of the many daily flights into the Albuquerque International Sunport, or try the new daily flights into Santa Fe Municipal Airport. Rental cars are available at all airport locations.

Rail Transportation

Now you can take the New Mexico Rail Runner from the Albuquerque Sunport to the Santa Fe Depot, then hop on the Taos Express to head to the mountains. 

GETTING AROUND RED RIVER

Red River is an ideal town for walkers. At a little over one mile long, visitors can easily stroll along the sidewalks taking in all the town has to offer. After shopping, skiing or just enjoying all this mountain offers, visitors have the option to not walk at all. The Red River Miner's Transit provides free year-round, seven-days-a-week, wheel chair-accessible service anywhere in town. Skiers especially love the hotel to slope-side service. Transportation pick-up is available by calling 575-770-5959.  Please call in advance for special services.

Service Area: Town of Red River, Junebug Campground, and Fawn Lakes Campground.

Hours of Operation: Seven days a week, 7:30am - 5:00pm. Please note that hours vary in the spring and fall.
