Copper Chair

Copper Chair was installed at Red River Ski Area in 1993, providing access to the first eastward terrain expansion in the ski area's history and connecting the Town of Red River on each end with lift accessed skiing. This classic center pole Riblet has served us well for 30 seasons, but it's time to close this chapter. This spring, we will kick off a 6 million dollar investment by constructing a new triple chair built by Doppelmayr. The new chair will open for the 24/25 season, offering better efficiency for guests. The new chair will retain the name Copper Chair, keeping its legacy alive.

Take Home a Piece of History

You can take home a piece of Red River Ski Area’s history. A limited number of chairs will be available for purchase. Take your home decor to the next level with a Copper Chair bench or swing.

• Copper Chairs will be available for purchase online on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchases over the phone and in person will not be available. 
• Pass holders with a current 23/24 Season Pass will be given early access to purchase chairs beginning on March 20, 2024, at 12:00pm MDT. All eligible pass holders will receive an email with a promo code to access the online sale.
• If chairs are still available, the general public will be able to purchase chairs beginning on March 22, 2024, at 12:00pm MDT. 
• Purchases will be limited to two chairs.  
• No inspection, selection, or requests for specific chair numbers will be available as the chairs will be distributed at pick up on a first-come, first-served basis.

Copper Chair Pick Up

• Chairs will only be available for pick up in Red River on March 26, 2024, May 18, 2024, and June 1, 2024.
• As an incentive for early pick up, purchasers who pick up on March 26, 2024, at the base of Copper Chair from 9:00am-12:00pm will be given a voucher valid for Winter 24/25 for (1) One Day Lift Ticket. 
• If you pick up on May 18, 2024, or June 1, 2024, a specific location and pick up instructions will be provided via a post-purchase email. 
• Shipping is not available, and all chairs must be picked up with proof of purchase. We will not hold chairs. 
• Red River employees will not help load chairs into vehicles or trailers. Please bring adequate help and appropriate means of securing the chair for transport.
• The chair dimensions are Height 112", Width 42", and Depth 24". Each chair weighs approximately 100 lbs. 
• If purchasers do not pick up a chair, payment will be forfeited, and Red River Ski Area will retain the chair as its property to be resold. 

Copper Chair Pricing

• Sales tax is not included in the price for Copper Chairs.
• All chairs are used and have their own set of blemishes, imperfections, and unique character. They are being sold as is with no warranty, expressed or implied. All sales are final.
