Join us for a mountaintop hike lasting up to an hour and a half in length. National Forest Service Rangers and volunteers will point out the beautiful historic and geologic landmarks guests can see from the top of our mountain, 10,350 in elevation.
Walkers will meet with the ranger on the deck of the Tip Restaurant. Guests may hike up or ride the Scenic Summer Chair Lift. Those riding the chair lift will need to leave from the base by 10:15am. Everyone is welcome! We will tailor the hike to the abilities and ages of the guest who wish to join us. All ages will enjoy learning about the exciting history of the mountain and the communities that surround it. Rangers will teach guests about our rich environmental diversity and the animals that share the mountain with us.
Please bring plenty of water and sunscreen! We recommend a hat, jacket or rain gear and closed toed, comfortable shoes. Guests will be hiking on rocky, uneven ground and mountain weather can move in very quickly. Join us, meet some fun new friends, learn some fun new facts and take in amazing vistas!
